The word patriotism has different interpretations. Simply stated, patriotism is the feeling of love for one’s country. The feeling of attachment and devotion concerning the land where one was born and grew up are natural. Patriotism is a key to nation-building.

 Nation Building is a multidimensional concept, and it involves the active participation of its citizens in various walks of life. The task of nation-building is a continuous process. It is not merely a phenomenon associated with the state formation. It is much more complex than what it seems to be. The process of nation building includes bringing people from different social and cultural background together to form a society. A strong and powerful nation is built on the dedication and hard work of its citizens and some amount of smart planning on the part of the Government is also essential.

There are various aspects of Nation building among which the most important ones at this moment in time seems to be the utilizing the potentials of its human resource, Emphasizing on Social Entrepreneurship, reducing the social and economic inconsistency that exists in the society and creating an enabling environment, wherein individuals can live freely and attain their best in life.

Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas ,the slogan of PM Narendra Modi is a Government of India policy initiative for inclusive development. Inclusive development is necessary for sustainable development and equitable distribution of wealth and prosperity. Poverty Reduction; Employment Generation; Development of Industrial, Agricultural and Social Sectors; Environment Protection; Equal Distribution of Income and Reduction of Regional Disparities are the important elements of inclusive development.

Not just the government , even the citizens have to involve in the process of nation building. It is the duty of every citizen to Respect and obey federal, state, and local laws. Respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others. Pay income and other taxes honestly, and on time, to federal, state, and local authorities and Defend the country if the need arises.

To develop a total sense of patriotism towards your country, we have to respect our country’s economic policies and social amenities, and always participate to the welfare of our Country.  

Youth in India are facing new challenges today. Some of them are stress, depression, unemployment, lack of skills etc. And also not to mention the unnecessary burden in the name of competition.

In order to tackle these problems, Govt. of India has introduced various projects focusing on youth such as national youth policy, self-employment schemes and such.

The younger generation of our country no longer need to carry arms or fight brave battlefields like our freedom fighters did. Yet, they need to nurture the sense of belonging to the country and dispel all negative thoughts, to be able to contribute effectively and meaningfully in their own way in the nation-building process. It is our primary duty to raise the glory and honour of the nation.
